Aaron has been a journalist for over a decade, frequently writing on the subjects of cocktails and drinking culture for such publications as The New York Times, Esquire, Playboy, and VinePair, and has had features written about his career in The New York Times, Forbes, and The Boston Globe. His previous books include Hacking Whiskey (2018), Gather Around Cocktails (2019), and Brand Mysticism: Cultivate Curiosity and Intoxicate Your Audience (2022). Based in Brooklyn with his wife, daughter, son, cat, and a lot of bottles of booze, Aaron is also an experienced host for both in-person and virtual events. He’s led countless corporate tastings and experiences over the years and is known for his relaxed, insightful approach that works just as well on Zoom as it does at high-profile gatherings—like an upcoming whiskey tasting he’s hosting for ESPN executives at The Masters. The video shown is from a Vice TV episode on tailgating, where Aaron was featured as an expert voice on drinking culture.
