Julia

Julia began her culinary journey working as a Sous Chef by the age of 20. She then took her skills, passion and knowledge from the kitchen and applied them to the bar atmosphere with a desire to connect with people and discuss spirits and wine. She has worked in a number of fine dining establishments from the East to West coast, and is currently the Bar Manager at Juanita & Maude in Albany, CA. Julia enjoys learning intensely about a product or process and then pushing those boundaries, striving to respect and create new adventures in flavor. She is a certified level one Sommelier currently studying for her level two and is working toward opening a bar with a sustainable clothing boutique attached. Her ethos is to enrich and encourage spaces and experiences where we can come together to forge community.
