After retiring from decades of government service, Michael has honed his wit and storytelling so that even the most passionless participant will fall under the spell whisk(e)y. Why “whisk(e)y” instead of whiskey or whisky? Because Michael desires to take you down every potable promenade and introduce you to the world-wide liquid he loves, from San Francisco to Inverness to Tokyo. Michael has a bunch of certifications (Executive Bourbon Steward, Wine & Spirits Educational Trust, Whiskey Marketing School Sommelier, and Edinburgh Whisky Academy), a ridiculously big and fancy medallion he can put around his neck during the tasting, a large and impressive collection of whisk(e)y bottles, and hours upon hours of “field work,” visiting, drinking, and collaborating at distilleries. However, Michael knows that the most important aspect of this meeting is making sure you and your friends/clients/employees leave revitalized, with a new appreciation for this centuries-old spirit, and the community that has formed around it.
